Pre-Order Policy

1. Introduction

Many collectible items that are created are made to order. If you want to receive such an item, you need to place a pre-order for it. Such items are identified on our site with the term 'pre-order' along with an estimated time of arrival (ETA). We also allow pre-orders for certain items that are in stock with distribution. Again, these are ordered in especially for you.

2. Payment

When you place a pre-order, you can choose to either:

  • Pay a deposit and settle the rest within 30 days of the product coming into stock.
  • Pay the entire expected price at point of order.

or on many items:

  • Pay a deposit and then settle the remaining amount on a monthly payment scheme.

Further information on payment schemes is shown when you checkout. We use a system call partial.ly which manages our pre-orders.

3. How We Pre-Order Your Item

When you place a pre-order with us, we contact the appropriate distributor and place the order. If the item is available, we will then get order confirmation which we then confirm with you, along with the ETA. At this point, we have committed to the pre-order and can no longer cancel the item without penalty. Therefore, please be very sure when placing your pre-order as there are cancellation fees incurred if you change your mind.

4. Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA)

ETA's can vary and are not guaranteed arrival date. We list the date given by manufacturer, but delays can and do happen. We cannot cancel your pre-order, even if delays are substantial, so please take this into account when ordering. We regularly update the product listing with the latest ETA. Keep an eye on the listings after you order to see when your product is due to arrive.

5. Cancellation of a Pre-Order

Once  a pre-order is placed, we cannot cancel it without a financial penalty, however we can still offer you the option of cancelling. If you place a pre-order and then wish to cancel, the minimum 10% deposit of total guide price required to place a pre-order is non-refundable. For example, if the guide price of the product was £500, you would have placed a minimum £50 deposit. You would lose that £50 deposit for cancelling. If you have paid more than the deposit, that amount would be refunded to you. For example, if you have paid in full, we'd refund you £450 (£500, less the 10% deposit of £50).

6. Settling a Pre-Order When It Arrives

When your item arrives we will contact you to settle any balance due and arrange shipping.

Orders must be settled within 30 days of the product coming into stock. Failure to settle within this period may mean you lose your deposit and pre-ordered item.

Prices quoted can be subject to change as items are only billed by manufacturers when they ship to us. We do everything we can to give you an accurate buy price, but pre-orders that are far away can vary in price if exchange rate varies from now until then.

Postage fees can also vary depending on the size of the product, type of shipping and number of boxes required. We suggest you pre-order each item individually as that way each pre-order's postage is paid separately and can ship as it comes into stock.

FAQ's

Why Pre-Order?

Many items are produced in limited quantities. Pre-Ordering looks to ensure that you get one of the limited numbers produced.

What happens when I Pre-Order?

Upon receiving your Pre-Order, we will place an order with the appropriate distributor for your item. The distributor in turn places the order with the manufacturer who then ensure that the item is shipped to the distributor when it's ready. This means we are liable for the order from that point which is why we charge you a deposit to ensure you're serious on purchasing the item.

Why are some pre-order ship dates so far away?

A number of manufacturers produce items in batches according to demand. The manufacturing process takes considerable time as the items are often hand painted.

What if I change my mind and want to cancel?

Should you wish to cancel your Pre-Order you can do so, but you will lose either the deposit you paid, or if you paid in full or part-payments, 10% of the expected guide price of the item. The reason for this is we will have placed an order for your item and we are liable for it.

Is the price you list the final price I will pay?

Most of the time, the guide price will be correct. But as we buy most pre-orders in from abroad, the price can vary due to exchange rate variance. Sometimes that can work in your favour and sometimes against. When the item is ready to ship from the distributor, we will inform you of any price changes. If prices have risen by over 10%, you have the right to cancel order if you so wish and we will return your deposit.

Are Pre-Orders guaranteed to arrive?

Most of the time they are pretty reliable. However, sometimes the manufacturer can run into production or licensing problems and occasionally items are cancelled either temporarily or permanently. Of course if this happens we will refund your deposit.

What happens when my Pre-Order comes into stock?

When your item comes into stock you have 30 days to pay the remaining amount due (Guide Price less your deposit) or risk losing your Pre-Order and deposit.

Can I pay off my pre-order in staged payments rather than one big sum?

On certain items yes. If so, you will see an option called payment plan when checking out.
